Oldtime Game History
The 2018 Oldtime Baseball Game was played as a fundraiser for the American Heart Association in memory of the late Boston Herald sportswriter Steve Harris. Appearing in the game that night were two of his sons, Mat Harris of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Jack Harris, a former Lincoln-Sudbury High School/Merrimack College player who had been in the game 2008-10. Jack wore this uniform in 2008 and ‘09, and again in 2018.
Catcher Jose Diaz of North Adams State College, who had homered in the 1997 Oldtime Baseball Game, christened this uniform when throwback uniforms were introduced to the game in 1998.
