Uniform & Team History

One of the greatest catchers in baseball history, St. Louis native Yogi Berra played on 10 World Series championship teams during his 18 seasons with the New York Yankees. A two-time American League MVP, Berra hit 358 career home runs. He later managed the Yankees, as well as the New York Mets, for whom he played briefly at the end of his career. Berra was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1972.

Oldtime Game History

Added to the Oldtime Baseball Game in 2016, it does more than honor the memory of Yogi Berra. It was added so that Berra’s granddaughter, Lindsay Berra, a nationally-known sportswriter, could wear it as an Oldtime Baseball Game coach. She also wore it from 2017-19.
