Uniform & Team History
Campy played 15 seasons with this Negro League team before joining the Brooklyn Dodgers. Their 37 – 15 record in 1942 was tops in the Negro National League. The Baltimore Elite Giants won the Negro National title in both 1939 and 1949.
Oldtime Game History
Josh Klimkiewicz, having just graduated from Buckingham, Brown and Nichols School, was added to the roster hours before the 2001 Oldtime Baseball Game; wearing this uniform, he emerged as co-MVP. He also wore it in 2002 after completing his freshman year at Harvard, and went on to play professionally for the independent El Paso Diablos. Matt Morizio of Northeastern University, who wore it in 2004 and ’05, was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 2006.
