Oakland native Billy Martin, who would later play for and manage the New York Yankees (and also the Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers, Texas Rangers and his hometown Oakland A’s) played for the Oakland Oaks in 1948 and ’49.

Nick Tempesta of Eastern Connecticut State College, who wore this uniform in 2000, was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2001. NECN sportscaster Chris Collins wore it in 2003.
