Oldtime Game History

When Dave Martin of Tufts played in the Game in 2000, he was assigned this uniform, which features the famous “white elephant” on the front. Making the connection with Tufts, whose athletic teams are known as the Jumbos, Martin was heard to remark, “We should make these our road uniforms at Tufts.” Every year since, the uniform has been worn by a Tufts player, including Steve Lapham (’01); Martin again in ’02 and ’03;  Bob Kenny (’04); Jeff Volinski (’05); Brian Casey (’06–07); Kevin Casey (’08-09, ’13); Kevin Gilchrist (’10); Jake Crawford (’11); Billy Collins (’12); Connor McDavitt (’14); Tim Superko (’15); Tom Petry (’16); Will Shackelford (’17), Casey Santos-Ocampo (’18), JP Knight (’19); Patrick Solomon (’21-22).

Also worn by:

Todd Korchin, Northeastern University (’98); Ron McGann, Holy Cross (’99).
