Playing in the Texas League, the ’22 Spudders won 22 consecutive games. The Spudders’ Homer Summa, who would go on to play 10 seasons in the majors, led the league in hitting with a .362 average.

Oldtime Game History

Introduced to the Oldtime Baseball Game in 2009, it was first worn by Matt Paré of Boston College. Paré was later signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers and played five seasons in their farm system. Paul Covelle of Franklin Pierce University, who wore it 2014-15, was selected in the 27th round of the MLB draft by the Seattle Mariners in 2016.
